LHFR Competitor Bulletin # 2 is modified as a result of CARS Bulletin 09-2, April 14, 2009.

Competitors are reminded of a new rule for 2009:

CARS GCR and RR 2009, Section VIII: Service Crews

9. All Service Crews must have at least one fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 40BC or two fire extinguishers with a minimum UL rating of 20BC each in their respective service area.

Where a fire service is not present, service crews must carry at least one fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 10BC, other than the fire extinguisher on board the competition vehicle, to all refueling zones and remote/optional refueling zones.

If requested by an official, evidence must be produced that fire extinguishers have been purchased or recharged within the preceding two years.
